Stranger than fiction

Fact truly is stranger than fiction and here's some proof from Time magazine. This is in their 'Verbatim' section of the just released September 11th issue.

McDonald's released a statement regarding the redesign of its McFlurry lids that says "The smaller aperture of the lid has been designed to prevent hedgehogs from entering the McFlurry container in the unfortunate incidence that the lid is littered". Apparently the British Hedgehog Preservation Society has been protesting for a change in design saying the animals get stuck while trying to eat leftover ice cream and then starve to death.

Who knew hedgehogs had a thing for ice cream, and from McDonald's even? Wonder if those McDonald's signs that say over 1 billion served includes all these apparently hungry and stupid hedgehogs.

As a former hedgehog breeder, I will say that they will try damn near anything.

I had one who liked to eat poo. Another that would chew on fabric softener sheets.

Who the fuck knows what goes through their heads.
