Exhausted
Exhaustion is taking it's toll on me. My body hurts, my brain hurts, my being hurts. I didn't sleep much last night, maybe an hour's worth. I did have a dream in that time in which I was given a diagnosis code of 356.2. I looked it up online today and the diagnosis comes up as Hereditary Sensory Neuropathy. It was very odd to say the least.
If I didn't have to drive the kiddie to school tomorrow, I'd take the stash of Valium I've slowly been accumulating. I just want to sleep so badly. Not trying to overdose or anything like that. Just sleep for a few days.
Groups today were boring. I could barely stay awake for the first one. Kept dozing off. Wasn't the only one doing that so I didn't feel bad. At least I wasn't snoring like the other guy was. Met with Ms. N today but cut our session short because I was just too tired to really even discuss anything with her. I see her tomorrow anyway for the start of DBT....joy. I'm not looking forward to it.
After leaving, I tried to do a few things before coming home. Even when I'm tired as hell, it's just easier to do things while I'm already out and about than coming home and trying to go back out. I stopped at Ulta and bought the kiddie a new flat iron, brush and Bed Head Manipulator...all the tools she should need to actually style her hair properly. We had a bitch of a time trying to do it this morning because she'd washed it last night and after sleeping on it, she really did have bedhead! There was one section we couldn't get to lay flat.
After that I headed over to the Indian Lakes Resort to get information about having a birthday party for the kiddie there. Unfortunately they don't allow slumber parties in their rooms, so I asked about just renting a reception room. That's kind of way too expensive since they have to do the catering, they won't allow food to be brought in. So then I went home, picked up the kiddie and we went to the Holidome to see what they had to offer. They would allow 5 people per room and since I'd need to get 2 rooms since I have no intention of sleeping with a bunch of 13 & 14 yr olds, she'd be able to bring 8 friends along.
We then stopped back by the resort, cuz when I asked about renting a reception room, the salesperson said that we could also do a spa package if we were going to be getting a room or two at the hotel. So we asked to see one of their suites. Turns out, we could turn it into a slumber party without them even knowing. The suite consists of a parlor and a bedroom with either a king sized bed or two double beds. The neat thing is that the parlor lies between those two rooms, so if we take both rooms, we can have both bedrooms open to the parlor, so we'd have 3 rooms total.
Now I just gotta check prices to see if I can afford that, though being that it is in January, their slowest month, we should be able to get a good deal. I'd have to call the on-site spa separately to get a package put together there. The kiddie really wants to stay at the resort vs. the Holidome. The spa package would just be something I'd do if I could get an exceptional deal. It's a full service spa with everything from massages to manicures to facials. I'd either go with a facial and a manicure because they offer a facial specifically for teens or a manicure & pedicure.
